1. Be Respectful
DO: Treat everyone with kindness
Be polite, friendly, and understanding. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and perspectives. Start conversations warmly and listen actively.
DON'T: Insult, harass, or bully
No name-calling, personal attacks, slurs, hate speech, or discriminatory remarks. If someone asks you to stop, respect their boundaries.
2. Keep It Safe
Protect Your Privacy
Never share personal information such as full name, phone number, home address, school/workplace, financial details, or social media accounts. Even if someone seems trustworthy, remember: you're chatting with strangers.
No Illegal Content
Absolutely forbidden: child exploitation material, non-consensual intimate images, threats of violence, piracy, drug trafficking, weapons sales, or any other illegal activity. Violations will be reported to authorities.
3. No Spam or Unwanted Content
Don't Spam
No repetitive messages, copy-paste spam, advertisements, promotional links, or solicitations. Don't flood chats with emojis or meaningless text.
No Scams or Phishing
Don't ask for money, gift cards, account credentials, or personal information. Never click suspicious links. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
4. Respect Boundaries
Consent is Key
If someone is uncomfortable with a topic or asks to change the subject, respect that immediately. 'No' means no. Always get consent before sharing sensitive content or steering conversations to personal topics.
You Can Always Leave
If a conversation makes you uncomfortable, you have every right to disconnect. You don't owe anyone an explanation. Your safety and comfort come first.
5. Appropriate Content Only
No Explicit or NSFW Content
Chatome is not for adult content. Do not share, request, or discuss sexually explicit material, pornography, or graphic violence. Keep conversations appropriate for a general audience.
Keep It Clean
Excessive profanity, graphic descriptions, or disturbing content are discouraged. Light swearing may be tolerated in context, but don't overdo it or use offensive language.
6. No Impersonation or Fake Identities
While Chatome supports anonymity, you may not:
- Impersonate celebrities, public figures, or Chatome staff
- Pretend to be someone you're not to deceive or manipulate others
- Falsely represent your age, especially claiming to be underage
7. Report Violations
Be Part of the Solution
